Walking in the Word of Wisdom

Recognizing, Speaking, and Acting on the Wisdom from the Holy SpiritThere are moments when you know the facts, understand the problem, and still have no idea what to do next. Experience is not enough. Advice is not enough. Even careful reasoning may leave several possible answers—and no way to know which one is right. What if, in moments like these, the Holy Spirit can provide wisdom you did not have before? Throughout Scripture, God gave people specific wisdom for specific situations—an answer to speak, an action to take, a strategy to follow, or an understanding of what He was doing. Walking in Word of Wisdom explores what happens when that wisdom enters a situation—and how we can learn to recognize it, speak it, and act upon it.
About the Book
What happens when God gives you the answer you could not have reached on your own?Scripture contains many moments when people faced situations that could not be solved by information alone. Joseph understood Pharaoh's dreams, but he also provided a remarkable strategy for preparing Egypt for the famine to come. Jesus repeatedly gave answers that escaped traps, exposed what was really happening, and revealed the right response for the moment. Peter, Paul, Stephen, and other believers spoke and acted with wisdom that went beyond ordinary human reasoning. At times, that wisdom appeared alongside prophecy, healing, supernatural knowledge, visions, or other manifestations of the Spirit.Walking in Word of Wisdom examines these biblical examples to discover what they can teach us about the Spirit's wisdom today. Rather than drawing rigid boundaries between Word of Wisdom and every other way God gives wisdom or revelation, the book focuses on what happens when God provides the wisdom needed for a specific situation. The goal is not simply to understand a spiritual gift. It is to become more aware of the ways the Holy Spirit can work through ordinary believers—and to become prepared to recognize, speak, and act upon His wisdom when the moment comes.

About the Author

Brian Wentroble is an author and teacher whose interest in Word of Wisdom has been shaped by both biblical study and decades of practical experience. During more than 25 years working in engineering, project management, and consulting, he repeatedly encountered complex problems, difficult constraints, and situations where experience and natural reasoning did not seem to provide a workable course of action. In those moments, he learned to rely on the Holy Spirit for wisdom about what to do next. Those experiences led Brian to explore more deeply how God provides wisdom for specific situations and how that wisdom operates throughout Scripture. In Walking in the Word of Wisdom, he brings together biblical research, practical experience, and a desire to help ordinary believers recognize when the Holy Spirit may be providing an answer, direction, or strategy they could not have reached on their own—and to have the confidence to speak and act upon that wisdom when the moment comes.
